Greetings all, I closed my Ebay store but would like to set up AOB for my auction site which is only "Fixed Price". From what AOB support says I can do this? Anyone else know for sure?
Also, the settings for Ebay seem a little daunting(SnippetHuh)to say the least. Is there someone here that could set it up for meHuh CostHuh  How long would it takeHuh I only sell New Bibles and Christian Books. I would need a nice template, categories and whatever the snippets and other things are. Please, only response if you know "for sure" the things above, or can set up what I need. Thank you much, Bibleman

Pretty sure that you can only list through AOB with a store.. Unless it has changed. as for having someone set it all up for you... I would suggest waving gobs of cash on front of someone because it is alot of work.

Do you mean you want to send Fixed Price listings to eBay? Or another site?

I agree with Groovy, I'm pretty sure you have to have a store to send anything to eBay, in any format. If it's another site you're talking about, then that would be a custom venue set up.

Otherwise, you might need to use an eBay listing service. With apologies to those that have heard me say this before, I used Inkfrog for any eBay-only listings (in my case, only auctions, but they support fixed price and stores as well) and I also use them for my image hosting. The down side of this, of course, is that there's no connection to your AOB inventory going this route. Inkfrog does support setting up inventory items within their site, however, so if you wanted to segment your inventory and designate some of it specifically for eBay, you could do that. The service comes with all the templates, etc. you'd need.

And yes, that is my referral code at the end. I get a whopping $5 credit if you sign up, but hey, every little bit helps.

Hi....  I believe that it is not necessary to have a store to sell on ebay.   It requires a seller account with credit card  on file, and seller must be PayPal certified before opening a store.   I think the "seller account" is the key.

Re the "Fixed Price" listings, Bibleman mentioned.    I am trying to change all of my "good til cancelled" listings to "fixed price," but that can't be done unless the items to be sold are "store items."   I wanted to do that through AOB too, but I don't believe it can be done.

Some of this information has been sent by ebay re the new fee plan, and explains the great benefits of having a store, but it also mentioned in the announcement that a seller could get on ebay and list one single item one time.

Ebay has the most complicated help system I've ever seen.    undecided

I know, that was a pathetic shameless plug, wasn't it? But the fact is, I've used them for years and I'm happy with the service.

My understanding (and I'd really suggest you put in a ticket for this to verify - maybe something has changed) is that you MUST have an eBay store to list from AOB.

I sold on eBay long before I started using AOB, so I already had a seller account. I can't remember if eBay was even doing fixed price listings back then (I've used AOB for 4 years now), but I kind of think not. I think it was either auctions or stores. It wasn't until I opened my store that I got anything listed from AOB.

Greeting Richard,

Yes, you can list your fixed price listings to Ebay through AOB.

Hey, that's great to know! Glad you checked that out.

So given that, I would think that the settings you had for your eBay store in AOB would still work for a direct Fixed Price listing. If you want a jazzier template, try doing a Google search for eBay Templates. I bet you find a bunch, either free or cheap. You should be able to copy and paste the HTML code into AOB, make a few modifications so your AOB information fills in, and you're good to go!
