For us it is always "we" unless I am trying to give the impression that I have taken a personal interest in the customer and then I refer to company information with "we" and what I personally will handle as "I".  For example...

Dear Fictitious Fussy Customer,

I apologize for the delay.  We show that we received the item on 3/10/1998 and was processed by our shipping department on 3/12/1998.  The tracking number is #1212121212121.  You may follow the progress of your shipment at www.usps.com.  If I can be of further help, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Kim Schmutzler

Our shipping department is my son working at a table in the basement LOL.

Oooh, I like our "shipping department"! I call my husband "Vice President of Fulfillment" - which means he does all the shipping and post office runs.  Grin

Thanks Plaid. This is how I usually handle things myself. I like my buyers to know complaints are handled from the "top" (hehehe).

I use either "I" or "we" depending on the voices in my head..... And we don't like fussy customers.... Grin

Rhonda and Don, I think it looks great - excellent support for your retail store, as well as being a nice online presence.

On your Customer Service page, in the section about returns: you are missing #3 in your list. Since that copy looks very familiar, I know why. You should probably re-number the rest of your points.  Wink

Yay Robin! I had my first international order from my site yesterday. Nice to see those orders come in when business as a whole is so slow.

Congrats!  Grin

Congratulations, Robin.   I have yet to make a sale on my PrestoStore, but I'm counting on it.   This has been a slow month, as most everyone has already said.

Greetings, Has anyone here had any issues with your Presto Store, e.g. pictures there one time and not the next, shipping prices not right, orders not pulled by AOB. If you have had issues and are they now resolved would you share them here so we may benefit from them. Thank you, Bibleman

Have you had those kinds of problems, Bibleman?

I have found that the Open Library photos are sometimes slower to load than my own hosted images. And since Open Library is the "host" for these images, any problems with their server would prevent their images from showing on our sites. But that's not often I've seen that - most of the time they're fine. And a refresh of my browser also often fills any holes.

The only issue I've had with shipping not being right was when I first opened my store and was using Google checkout. Apparently Google calculates shipping on its own, with no regard to your store settings. So my customer for that order was actually overcharged. That's one reason I quit using Google Checkout.

Shipping settings can be really tricky - and I made mine more involved by using a tiered approach for shipping costs based on weight. But it has worked exactly as I set it up. If you're doing practice orders - putting items in your cart, choosing a shipping method, and seeing how it calculates - and you're not getting the expected result, I'd suggest putting a support ticket in so they can trouble shoot for you. In fact, contact support for any reason - no need to sit around guessing. They're fast at responding, and usually can get your issue resolved very quickly.
