I thought I'd take a minute to tell everyone about one of the things I do when I'm not listing, packaging or scouting. I was a journalist and writer before I was a bookseller, and I've started a blog about the widely-varied aspects of my personality. I've written several articles about bookselling, a few about spirituality and I'm documenting my weekly progress on decluttering and simplifying my life. My fragmented life is coming together on my blog, and I couldn't be more pleased.

I hope you can all take a moment to see how I'm doing. Please offer a comment there on any of the posts that catch your attention. That will help me make the blog more dynamic and interesting.

Then, use the navigation bar at the very top of the screen to explore the categories. I hope you find something of interest.

Nice work! I did read a few of your posts. Your journalism background shows - you have a very nice writing style.

I'll be checking back!

Booker, I enjoyed reading your blog entries.   Lots in common, journalism and writing background, book collector, reader, seller...writer maybe.   Interesting work.   I've thought of writing a blog myself, but I have so many irons in the fire there's no room for the fire.   So many great things to do, so little time.

Hey, Padre! Are you the same person who posted a comment on my blog post "A Writer Without an Assignment"? If not, we all three have a lot of common. Let me know. I'd like to write up some comments on my blog about other people with writing backgrounds who are in bookselling.

I look forward to talking with you more.

Oh, and thanks Stacks for your positive comments. I hadn't noticed your post.

By the way, I should mention that you can sign up in the box in the right column at gipplaster.com to get my posts by email. You'll get an email only on the days when I post something, which is about twice a week at the moment.
